Objective
The Claremont Street boarding house uses a standard domestic construction system, unusual for class 3 buildings, combined with fire engineering and a sprinkler system, to produce a cost-effective building that fits the predominately suburban context. The upper level courtyard provides a common space to engender a sense of community in the facility.
