Kiama Sands Retirement Village
Status: Approved
Objective
To design a staged village taking advantage of a steep south facing site with views to the ocean, and to identify a means by which the accessibility requirements of a retirement village can be accommodated on extremely steep land sloping down to lush creek flats. The central idea was to link a lateral contour street pattern with an inclined elevator.
