Norton Street Restaurant

Objective

Norton Street is noted for its cafes and restaurants. The strength of the idea was establishing a single dining level while retaining the garden setting. The project is essentially an infill to the existing active streetscape which resolved all of the complex urban and political issues and was approved with no objections.

• Achieving approvals in a difficult context of new buildings adjacent to historic buildings
• Retaining garden setting to streetscape
• Linking the Restaurant and the Garden
• Gaining new open space for Norton Street
